Recommended Arrangements for Travel & Parking
Visitors to the Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo are strongly advised to use public transport wherever possible.
BY TRAIN
Windsor & Eton Central Station is approximately 7 minutes walk from the show and is served by First Great Western allowing travel via Slough from London Paddington in the east and from Reading in the west.
Trains leave at half hourly intervals with the last departing at approx. 23.30hrs.
Windsor & Eton Riverside Station is approximately 500m from the entrance to the show and served by South West Trains allowing travel from London Waterloo in the east and many towns in the south and west via Staines.
Trains leave at half hourly intervals with the last departing at approx. 23.20hrs.

BY CAR
Parking at Home Park Public, which is directly adjacent to the showground is bookable in advance. 2011 prices and booking information to follow.
Public parking facilities are also available in the town at Alexandra Gardens or King Edward Court, both of which are no more than 10-15 minutes walk from the showground.

DIRECTIONS
From the South and West: Please use the A303/M3 (J3) thus avoiding Windsor Town Centre. Signs will direct you via Ascot, Windsor Great Park and Datchett to the Home Park Public car park directly adjacent to the showground entrance.
From the South East and Staines: Please exit the M25 (J13) from where event signs will direct you via Runnymede, Old Windsor and Datchett to the Home Park Public car park directly adjacent to the showground entrance.
From the North and East: Please use the M25 & M4 (J5) at Colnbrook. Signs will direct you to the Home Park Public car parks directly adjacent to the showground entrance.
From Maidenhead and the M4 (J6) at Slough: Please follow the event signage to the Home Park Public car park directly adjacent to the showground entrance.
COACHES AND MINIBUSES
There are three coach parking options available at the Tattoo:
1- King Edward VII Avenue Car Park located adjacent to the show ground entrance. This option is recommended for parties of elderly or disabled people. Spaces are limited so must be pre-booked. Please note that due to volume of traffic coaches using this car park will not be able to leave until 30-40 minutes after the end of the performance. 2011 prices and booking number to follow.
2- Romney Lock Road Car Park located approximately 5-10 minutes walk from the show gound entrance. Spaces are limited and must be pre-booked. 2011 prices and booking number to follow.
3- Alma Road Coach Park located approximately 7-8 minutes walk from the show ground. This can be pre booked at the RBWM website: http://www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/parking_coach_park.htm and costs £12 in advance. You can also call 01628 683880 to book.
Mini Buses of fewer than 15 people can park in the main show car park (Home Park Public) by purchasing two normal car park passes. Mini buses of more than 15 people must use the same facilities as the coaches. It is advised that all car and coach parking is pre-booked. 2011 prices and booking number to follow.
Please note drop offs outside the showground will not be permitted except under exceptional circumstances.
